LEAD PASTOR UPDATE

As many of you know, it is appointment-making season in the Dakotas Conference of The United Methodist Church and, in case you’re wondering, yes, McCabe’s open Lead (Senior) Pastor position is a top priority of our Bishop and District Superintendents! As Bishop Ough and the DSes work together to consider a possible Lead Pastor for McCabe, when they have someone they want to appoint, the Board of Directors and I will be in conversation with that pastor and, hopefully, an appointment “match” will be made! We will keep you informed and, if / when an appointment is made, the people of McCabe will be informed. However, as is the usual schedule for pastoral changes in The UMC, be aware that our new Lead Pastor would not actually come to Bismarck until late June or early July. Appointment-making is a holy and challenging process: please pray for our bishop and superintendents as they make appointments for us and for so many other churches in the Dakotas!
