You are invited to a five-week study and discussion centered around some simple phrases we often hear or even may say.
They are simple phrases. They sound “Christian”—like something you might find in the Bible. We’ve all heard these words.
They capture some element of truth, yet they miss the point in important ways.
Our guide for this discussion will be Adam Hamilton’s book, Half Truths: God Helps Those Who Help Themselves and Other Things the Bible Doesn’t Say.
This study will be offered on Wednesday evenings in the Wesley Room from 6:20 PM to 7:20 PM as part of Midweek at McCabe.
It will also be offered on Thursday mornings at 8:30, and Saturday 9 AM so if you miss a session you will have another opportunity.
Wednesdays: 9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4
Thursdays: 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5
Saturdays: 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7
