Our Board of Directors has begun an “investigative phase” of a possible remodel of our education wing. As we’ve begun in-vestigating this possibility, we’ve kept a broad perspective of how to maximize the use of our building for the present and the long-term future. With this in mind, in addition to possibly remodeling our education wing, these considerations have emerged: updating the heating and cooling system of our original building (ie. replacing the boiler and adding air conditioning where there isn’t any), eliminating asbestos, creatively preserving important wall art, and reimagining underutilized areas of our building. We want the conversation about this one potential project – remodeling the education wing – to be broad and multifaceted so that, if we put significant resources toward it, we’re doing so in the most faithful and visionary way possible.
